Digital Marketing Manager
Key aspects of the role
- Manage client PPC accounts including setup and ongoing optimisation of campaigns using Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and paid social
- Setup and management of Performance Max campaigns, managing product feeds via Google Merchant Centre and optimising campaigns via Google Ads
- Create monthly KPI reports for clients on PPC, SEO, paid social and web performance
- Keyword research for SEO and PPC
- Copywriting for SEO and implementing on-site SEO changes across various CMS platforms (training can be provided)
- Monitor and develop reports on competitor activity
- Contributing to digital strategy documents and client proposals, focussing on digital requirements
- Manage client relationships, responding to requests, and delivering on client work
- Assisting the digital team with a wide range of digital projects including email marketing, website management, integrations and reporting
- Implementation of PPC strategies (including setup, management, optimisation and ROI reporting) for a variety of clients across Google, Facebook, Microsoft (Bing), LinkedIn etc. platforms
- Account Management: you must have excellent communication skills and be confident in building relationships with clients
- Website development, design, build and management (no coding knowledge required)
- Identifying and resolving SEO problems or limitations
- Working in conjunction with the Content Marketing team to coordinate digital and offline marketing activities to ensure they work together effectively
Experience and skills essential to the role:
- Google Ads certification(s)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in paid search, campaign set up, management of multiple client accounts, account optimisation
- Experience in social advertising (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.)
- Educated to degree level – or have relevant work experience
- Excellent numerical and written communication skills
- High level of proficiency with managing and interpreting campaign data – budgeting, reporting, analysis, troubleshooting, optimisation
- Analytical and comfortable working with spreadsheets
- Strong understanding of Google Ads, Google Merchant Centre, Google Analytics & Search Console and other industry tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush)
- Able to work well under pressure and have excellent multi-tasking skills
The following experience is desirable but not essential:
- Working in a client-facing PPC account management role
- Knowledge of email marketing campaigns and tools (e.g. MailChimp)
- Experience of website content management systems (CMS) e.g. WordPress, Wix, Shopify, Magento, Opencart, CS-Cart would be beneficial
- Knowledge of SEO best practices, on-site and off-site SEO
- Agency experience
